Trees

We have three large Ash trees at the back of the house that had got too tall so today two were reduced by about 8 ft and had branches off and the third smallest one had to go he was growing all wrong.

Picture showing all three trees before work started.

Starting to reduce the height

They look very sad now and the one on the far left of the picture has been taken right out, we just need some leaves now to see what they will look like.

Second Day

We woke up to a bright sunny day althougth the wind was still cold, after breakfast we set off to Farm Shop to catch the bus to Greenway.  The shop was great we wished it was near to home.

We boarded the 1940's bus to Greenway just the two of us and then we picked up three more people in Brixham.  The driver called Mike was  a jolly driver as the advert said and he gave a talk on all the interesting places we were visiting.  Bus to Greenway the bus has been used in a number of TV shows.

The driver did take our photo by the bus unfortunately Patrick did not check and it did not come out, something Siew Gin would never have done.

Brixham

After checking in and a quick change we set off for Brixham thought as it was a fishing town we should try their fish and chips.  It was really cold and the wind was blowing.

Few Days Away

As Patrick was on holiday we decided to have a few days away so set off on Friday morning our first stop was Holden Forest where we went on one of the walks unfortunately we left our camera's in the car Holden Forest  we did the discovery trail the wrong way round as we could not find the start.

We then went on to Buckfast Abbey first we had a cream tea then walk round the grounds we have been before but it is always a great place to visit.

The gardens were well laid out but not the right time of the year to see them.

We then set off for Paighton so I put the details in the sat nav saying shortest route well everyone knows I do not like roads with only passing places.  It started off Ok then we got half way up a steep hill and it said turn right not able to turn round we went on for four miles through what looked like farm yards we only meet two other cars coming to wards us and we were near passing places then all of a sudden we came to a wide section of the road and there was the hotel right next to a major road.
