Pitch abd Putt

Barry brought the boys up for a visit this weekend, while Barry played with Daniel on the slides Jake and I went to play pitch and putt.  Jake took delight in showing grandma how to play and he won by four strokes.

Fitbit

Check out my badges.

When I was in USA, Alan brought me a Fitbit which I am very proud of it has certainly made me more aware of needing to do more exercise.  I was surprised how many times I wake up during the night.  Still haven't been logging all my food but the site is much better now so starting today.

The weather will probably change I have the bike out and intend to use it while watching Eastenders 30 minutes a day.  Walking machine going to try for 30 minutes at least five times a week.

Jane Austen's

I have always wanted to visit Jane Austen's house where she lived the last 9 years of her life so after breakfast the sun was shinning so we set off.  The house was like walking back in time and full of information well worth a visit. Jane Austen's House.

This picture is taken from the side the Kitchen door is too the left and the door on the right enteres into the main house.

This is the back of the house in the old Bake House which is not attached to the house they have also housed the pony carriage, in her life time the pigs were in here.

This is a picture of the kitchen

It was a very enjoyable morning and then we went off to find an old coaching inn for lunch unfortunately by then it had started to rain so no photo of the pub.

We then went on to Winchester when the rain was really heavy so settled for tea and cakes and decided to come back on the Sunday to finish off sight seeing here.

Tolpuddle

Patrick and I decided to have a few days away we have always wanted to visit the museum at Tolpuddle so we made it our first stop.  It was well laid out and very informative worth looking at the web. Tolpuddle Museum  They all returned to England but only one of them stayed in Tolpuddle the others went to Canada.  On the web is a family tree showing how a lot of them were related.

You were invited to sit and think about their lives picture of Patrick doing this.
