Sittin; Talkin' in Somerset

On Friday evening at the Berrow Inn in Berrow, there was a geocaching event called Sittin; Talkin' Cache in Somerset, this was the secound event. As we enjoyed the first one so much we decided to go again and meet other cachers. It was good to find out who all these people are as they sign the logs with names such as Purple Penguin, Achaos, Berrow Catchers, just to mention a few.

Once again the pub put on a very good meal and there was lots of talking and swapping Travel Bugs. A few of the more hardy people went out to do a night cache which took about one and a half hours, some even went on to do another one and did not get home until 2am.

Patrick and I stayed at the pub talking, it was such a windy night and raining there was no way we were off to find the cache, maybe on a nice summer evening. We got home at just after 11pm.

Looking forward to the next one in June.

This is a great picture of Tyler so thought you should all see how he is growing up. Cannot wait to see him in April.

Looking from the their new bedroom into the existing house.
View of the extension which is another lounge, Bedroom with on suite and walk in wardrobe.
They have to put in a some more windows.

The new lounge has a patio door which will lead out onto a patio.

Bedroom took a lot longer

We started on the bedroom after chirstmas but it has taken quite a long time, we have removed the old built in wardrobe that was too small and built in a much larger one, after the pieces were delivered we discovered that we needed to cut the height down by 10cm and there was a lot of cutting and fixing to fit the new unit into the space. Now we have lots of storrage.

If we were going to build in the wardrobes we thought we would go the whole way, new curtains, carpet new bedside cabinets and chest of draws. While we were about it we repositioned the electrictal fittings. The biggest problem was we had to let all the water out of the water bed and of course it had to be refilled.

Jake had a great time when he came for a visit helping us to get the air out of the bed, we eventually had Barry and Sarah helping as well

While taking tea with Val and Daph in Denners I spotted new lampshades for the bedside lamps and ceiling.

While we have been busy inside we havent managed to get much done in the garden but the weather has been very cold and wet so I do not supose we would have done a lot.

We have been busy

We have redecorated the dinning room and this is a picture of the lounge end looking out on to the back garden, it has been painted with some new paint that reflects light and we are very pleased with the results. Patrick has also replaced the plug and light switches and instaled new wall lights .

In the lounge we have brought a new corner unit and chair it converts to a king size bed which is very confortable we had to sleep down here while we were doing the bedroom. Pictures on the wall are of Jake and Tyler with a space for the expected arrival.
We were very luck and managed to find a new lamp table in the sale.
View looking into the front garden unfortunately the sun was reflecting off the top pond.
