WHAT HAVE WE ALL BEEN UP TO

TUESDAY

Up early as Siew Gin, Tyler and I were off to the hospital to go to the Mums and Babies Session where new mums can meet each other and have the baby wieghed. Tyler wieghed in at 7lbs 14 ozs. Some of the other babies were really big, but then they were nearly all older than Tyler. We discovered just how heavy he is in his car seat.

This is a view of the Rocky Mountains with snow on the top the picture was taken through the window of the car on the road to the hospital.

The end of the day Tyler and Siew Gin

MONDAY

It is dustbin day I am amazed at how much rubbish goes out but I am assured that some of the bins must have contained leaves, took a picture of the yellow dustbin lorry as I thought it would amuse Jake.

Lazy Day

Well it is Saturday and everyone is being very lazy all having a lie in including Tyler.

Tyler has just got up.

This is how Alan and Tyler spend their time.

Alan and I went geocaching on Friday and visited the Broomfield Libary very impressive and in a very nice setting. A little different to Yeovil's.

Near the Libary and lake is a memorial for 9/11 they have all the names lisited of the people who died that day and also list all the countries they came from.

Lovely Day In Colorado

Well it is Friday morning and it is another lovely day here in Broomfield the sun is shinning and nearly all the leaves have fallen from the trees.

Which made me think of my favourite picture of Jake taken last year, as luck would have it I had a copy of it with me

What else have we all been doing

Well I have been here over a week now.

On Sunday it was Sarah's birthday and we managed to have an internet link with the web cam to wish her a happy birthday. With a little help from Barry we managed a three way link up so that they could see Baby Tyler he was not very active but everyone thought he was just great.

Sarah, Barry and Jake had been out for the day to celebrate her birthday unfortunately by the time we set up the link Jake had gone to bed so he has not seen his new cousin yet.

Monday Jake and I had a great time with the web cam and he showed me all his Bob the Builder toys, it was lovely to see him and we had a wonderful time blowing kisses.

Patrick has phoned a few times to keep me up todate with what he has been doing in Yeovil, I understand he has been very busy in the garden, he has also been out to check on our geocache as it was reported there were a lot of snails.

I have been using Alan's running machine trying to get fit before I get home and we have managed a few geocaches.

Alan has also been busy collecting Siew Gin's special food from Boulder each day, I go with him some times to do additional food shopping.

Siew Gin and I also managed to get out to do some shopping and visit the hospital shop to buy a breast pump.
I spoke to Seng on the phone and he was also excited about his new grandson, I have also sent him an email. It looks like they will be coming to England next year and Patrick and I are looking forward to this.

First week with Tyler

Well Tyler is a week old today, he still sleeps, eats and poo's a lot. When he is awake he loves to kick and wriggle. He has mastered the art of getting out of the blankets and like to sleep with his arms above his head.

I spent the morning cleaning up ready for the new family to come home, received a call to say they would be here about 10.30.

Rang Barry and Patrick with the news they both sent their congratulations. It will be good when they can see him.
